Out The Gate, We are #PubCon 2008 Las Vegas By Robert Speyer of Web Success Team We are excited about being in Las Vegas for Pubcon, the Internet Marketing and SEO Conference. We heard two lectures that were very good with the first one titles: Top-Shelf Organic SEO. Bruce Clay was the highlight with a great speech on SEO, the Good, the Bad and the Future. The general feel was that ranking is dead. Behavior-based search and intent-based search are the new kids on the block. Early in the afternoon we attended Social Media: The Big Sexy Buzz where featured speakers like Warren Whitlock and Brian Carter entertained us with Twitter techniques. This year there are over 1000 attendees and in some of the lectures there were not enough chairs so some of us had to sit on the floor. There were only 100 Internet lines for the 1000 plus attendees and speakers which posed a problem for us tied to the Internet. Even speakers had to ask their audiences to please "log off" so they could get on the Internet to make their presentations. All in all I am glad to be here.
